Boost GNSS Signals for Reliable Timing
Long antenna cable runs can introduce signal loss between an outdoor GNSS antenna and the connected timing receiver. A GNSS inline amplifier can help compensate for this loss and maintain a stronger signal at the receiver.
The Masterclock TW125 Inline Amplifier is a compact, rugged amplifier designed to boost GNSS signals across the 1.2 to 1.8 GHz frequency range. With 28 dB gain, it is suitable for installations where maintaining adequate GNSS signal strength is important.
Its low-noise and low-power design makes the TW125 well suited to professional GNSS timing installations, while its IP67-rated construction provides protection for demanding outdoor environments.
Key Features
Why Use a GNSS Inline Amplifier?
GNSS antennas are often installed on rooftops, towers or other locations that provide good satellite visibility. However, placing the antenna far away from the timing equipment can require a long coaxial cable run.
As cable length increases, RF signal loss can also increase.
The TW125 can be installed inline between the GNSS antenna and the timing receiver to provide additional gain and help compensate for cable-related signal attenuation.
